What is Loeffler endocarditis?
Loeffler endocarditis is a restrictive heart disease that causes endomyocardial fibrosis with associated eosinophilia; found most commonly in the tropical regions.

IgM.
Which is the secondary immune response antibody?
IgG.
Which neoplasm is associated with ectopic erythropoietin production?
Renal cell carcinoma; PTHrP causes hypercalcemia due to renal cell carcinoma.
Describe Rocky Mountain spotted fever:
Causative agent is rickettsia rickettsiae. Rash that begins peripherally and spreads locally; treat with doxycycline (for a patient with renal dysfunction) or regular tetracycline.
What is the function of RER?
Synthesis of secretory proteins and proteins destined for incorporation into lysosomes.
What is the cause of hydrocele in the newborn?
Incomplete fusion of the processus vaginalis.
What do loop diuretics do to the RAA system?
Increase aldosterone secretion.
Muscle distribution in the esophagus:
Upper third and upper esophageal sphincter: striated muscle.
Middle third of esophageal: both striated and smooth.
Lower third and lower esophageal sphincter: smooth muscle.
What is the visible manifestation of von Hippel-Lindau disease?
Retinal angiomas.
What is a Baker cyst (popliteal cyst)?
A rounded structure behind the knee; mildly fluctuant and tender on palpitation. It arises due to accumulation of bursal fluid.
