Nuclear factor whose expression correlates with neoplastic replicative activity (i.e., a neoplasm's growth rate).

How can testosterone lead to gynecomastia?

Testosterone is converted to estradiol in extraglandular tissues, leading to feminization. Another cause of gynecomastia is liver disease.

What is granulocytic ehrlichiosis?

Granulocytic ehrlichiosis is caused by ehrlichia phagocytophila, an intracellular bacterium transmitted by the vector of Lyme disease, Ixodes tick, which also transmits babesia microti. The disease is similar to Rocky Mountain spotted fever without the rash. Treatment would be doxycycline.

What is Rocky Mountain spotted fever?

Rocky Mountain spotted fever is caused by rickettsia rickettsii transmitted by the dermacentor tick. Rocky Mountain spotted fever has a characteristic rash which begins on the ankles and wrist progressing toward the trunk. The Weil-Felix test is positive. Treatment would be doxycycline.
