Endomysium: surrounds individual muscle fibers.
Perimysium: surrounds groups of muscles.
Epimysium: surrounds entire muscle.

Sacromere structure:
• Thin filaments contain actin, tropomyosin, troponin.
• Thick filaments contain myosin.

• I bands composed of thin filaments; variable length.
• A bands composed of thik and thin filaments; constant length.
• H bands composed of thick filaments; variable length.

Additional Notes:
• Cardiac tissue: fascia adherens; intercalated discs – Z-line.
• Myoglobin: red.
• Triad of skeletal muscle: A-I band junction of sarcomeres.
• White fibers: less mitochondria; less myoglobin; less cytochrome s; increased innervation.
• Smooth muscle: corkscrew-shaped nucleus.
