Typical - 1st generation | High potency | Improve positive symptoms only | Extrapyramidal symptoms | Haloperidol, Fluphenazine, Pimozide |
Low potency | Anti-cholinergic and anti-histamine symptoms | Chlorpromazine, Thioridazine | ||
Atypical - 2nd generation | Improve positive and negative symptoms | Clozapine, Olanzapine, Risperidone, Quetiapine |
