Axillary Artery Aneurysm:

The axillary artery balloons, and this may not be an uncommon occurrence. The axillary artery and the major branches of the brachial plexus are contained within the axillary sheath, thus, any progressive dilatation (aneurysm) of the axillary artery may compress nerves of the brachial plexus producing neurological deficits. This is a good example of how symptoms which involve one system of the body may produce pathology elsewhere.
