What are serine proteases? And what are they most similar to in terms of structure and function?
Serine proteases are enzymes that cleave proteins. Examples of serine proteases would be trypsin and chymotrypsin. Other examples include plasmin, thrombin, plasminogen, cathepsin G, and elastase.
