What is Innate Immunity?

• Barriers: anatomic, physiologic, phagocytic, and inflammatory.

• Generalized immunity.

What is Adaptive Immunity?

• Activated after innate barriers breached.

• Components: lymphocytes, APCs.

• Specific immunity.
